There is something special about karaoke nights in South Florida.
During the summer, when it is too hot and humid to spend much time outside, people start looking for fun things to do indoors. Karaoke, bingo and trivia nights give us a reason to get out of the house, visit a local restaurant or bar and enjoy an evening without having to plan anything complicated.
Karaoke is not just about who has the best voice. Most people are not stepping up to the microphone because they believe they are professional singers. They are there to have fun, sing a song they love, let go of some stress and maybe make a few new friends along the way.

Try a song you have always wanted to sing, join a trivia team or take a chance on bingo. You might walk in not knowing anyone and leave with an entirely new group of friends.
Support the venues that give local entertainment a place to thrive. Tip your servers and bartenders, encourage the singers and be patient with the hosts. Most importantly, remember why everyone is there: to have fun.
